What NAPIT approval means
BES Electric is a NAPIT approved electrical contractor. NAPIT is one of the government-authorised competent person schemes for electrical work, so the business is assessed — and re-assessed regularly — against current safety standards. For you, that means an independently checked electrician who is authorised to certify his own work.
What BS 7671 means
Every installation is designed, installed and tested to BS 7671, the 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations — the national standard for electrical installations in the UK. Working to the current edition means your circuits meet today's requirements, not the rules in force when the building was first wired.
What Part P means
Part P of the Building Regulations makes electrical safety in homes in England and Wales a legal requirement, and notifiable jobs — a rewire or a new consumer unit, for example — must be registered with building control. As a NAPIT registered business we handle that notification for you, and a certificate of compliance is issued via NAPIT: the paperwork insurers, solicitors, landlords and buyers ask for.
